Hi there! I'm open for commissions!
I'm open for a lot of different mediums and motifs, but I guess most of my commissions will be portrait-like drawings, so here's more detailed info for basic portraits.
But please don't hesitate to message me if you want to ask anything (do you also draw X?), we can discuss every idea you have for a commission: Sillageuse@gmail.com Heart

Animal portrait (1 animal), Din A4, coloured pencils, simple or no background: 150,- EUR
Examples:  Commission: Cat (color pencils) by Sillageuse  Josy by Sillageuse

Dark animals or animals with large dark parts (like dark brown, dark grey or black) will cost extra, because dark colours take more time.
Example:  Donkey (colour pencils) by Sillageuse
If you prefer a portrait of two or more animals (on one sheet of paper), each extra animal costs 50,- EUR.

None of these prices are guaranteed to apply to what you wish for, I will tell you the final cost after we have discussed the details, but these prices are the starting point for your orientiation.
For example, black and white drawings (pencils only) are cheaper, human portraits are more expensive. The price is lower if the size is smaller and of course the price is higher if the size is bigger. Detailed backgrounds will cost more, sketch-like (rough) drawings are cheaper, etc. (You get the idea... ;) )

Please message me at Sillageuse@gmail.com if you're interested in commissioning me!
dA bot by Sillageuse

So this is a screenshot of a dA account's statistics. Said dA account is - judging from the one deviation - obviously a bot advertising a photoshop tool or something like that (which might even be some kind of malware or whatever).

What I learned from one glance at the stats: This bot is randomly faving erverything (including my latest artwork). There is no artwork in the deviations (just a demonstration of said tool), and yet they get 844 watchers, while only watching 5. What does that mean? When you fave 100 deviations, one deviant will watch you in return (without even checking the gallery I guess). This bot has been a deviant for 1 month, by the way (!).

The only step up of this would be for the bot to get commissioned! Haha. ;_;
Kaizoku-hime I think it was you wondering about how people get so many watchers and faves etc., when their art isn't even that good? I think the key is (if you can't or don't want to build a bot) to be online all the time and fave everything you look at. :(

It is kind of frustrating seeing other artists tripling the number of their watchers in a month when their art is just mediocre, while you see amazing artists who don't lack in technique and have awesome ideas and choices of motifs and they hardly get any watchers at all. I think with a large number of watchers you will eventually get commissioned, even if your art hasn't improved. So this is a kind of sad epiphany I had today.

Also, how do I report an account as probably fake? :D

Happy holidays and tons of commissions to you real people out there! :D

Hey there,
I'm still injured (both my hands ;_; ), but I'm going to participate in the challenge where you draw as many chicks as you get Likes for a post, so head over to my facebook page and like my post:
www.facebook.com/Sillageuse/po…
If you want to see me suffering ;) Everyting is explained there Heart

Hi there!
I've injured my right hand (my thumb, as I wrote in some of my latest deviations' descriptions), so the doctor said not to use it much. So since I already use my hand in daily life, I try to avoid drawing and handwriting completely. :( So much for my daily drawing challenge! But I want to try other means of creating art, like with my fingertips only or with my left hand or digitally with the mouse or touchpad... But this won't happen on a daily basis, sorry!

Also, because it came up in a journal of an artist I'm following, I started researching about legal aspects of selling artworks. I think this is really interesting because I wish I could sell my fanarts since they gain more attention than most of my other artworks (especially on my facebook page). But I will firmly stand my ground on respecting the original artworks copyrights (like the photographer who took the picture of Peter Dinklage (Peter Dinklage himself would probably be considered a person of public interest ("Person der Zeitgeschichte" in German), so he might not claim rights on images of his face :D )). It's just really hard considering that almost everyone else sells fanart, probably infringing on someone's copyrights.

Here's another interesting article about the topic: The Truth About Selling FanartUpdate notice as of January 17, 2013: I have given this guide a MAJOR overhaul. It was originally written over a year and a half ago, and since then my own views and understanding of copyrights has changed. I felt that this guide should reflect those changes, so if you read this guide in the past, please take a moment to look through it again as I have added MANY new topics, information, and sources. Unlike my first draft, I have also changed my viewpoint to neutral throughout this writing.
Update notice as of July 17th, 2015: Check out DeviantArt's new article on art theft, fanart, copyrights, and other relevant topics! http://protectart.deviantart.com/journal/The-Art-Theft-Discussion-544490149
Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, nor any kind of professional that works in dealing with laws or copyrights. This guide was written based on my own research and understanding of copyright laws, and from discussions with others knowledgeable of the subject. These facts are all

I'd be interested to see someone write these things up for German law, but I think I've got a pretty good idea about it. My husband is quite knowledgeable in legal topics :D

Anyway, hope you have a nice day! :)

Hey guys!

I have started a drawing challenge today! I want to draw at least one drawing per day for at least a year. :) I will probably draw these on A6 paper, trying out new techniques and challenging motifs. I might also sell the drawings or put them in a raffle.
If you're interested in buying drawings or commissioning me, I'd be happy to receive a message from you! <3
I hope I can keep up with that output! o.O But it wouldn't be a challenge if it were easy ;)

Tomorrow is a holiday in Germany, yay! The weather is actually really nice and it doesn't affect my nose and eyes so much yet (allergies...), so I might draw #002 outside. :)

#001 will be up in a minute! :)

Have a nice day~

Hey guys,

good news! I have over 100 fans on my facebook page now :) I'm so happy!! :excited:
I celebrated by asking my 100th fan for suggestions what to draw next, and he said a raccoon, so I drew a raccoon :) They are so cute, it was really hard choosing a reference :D
Check out my facebook page to see the drawing! :)  (Edit: Now I uploaded it to dA too!)
By the way, this is not the first time I uploaded something to my facebook that I didn't show on dA, so if you don't want to miss anything, Like me on facebook (please :hugs: )

Bisous to all of you! :wink kiss:
My facebook Page has achieved a reach of over 400 and it has 90 Likes, yeah! I didn't think anything like that would be possible in such a short time, and I know it's not much compared to other artists, but for me this is huge! :happybounce:
90 Likes on facebook and 9 watchers on dA! Should I draw something special for when (if?) I hit the 100 on fb or the 10 on dA?
Those are milestones I hope to achieve before April! I am a dummy!  I'd love for you to help me by sharing my pages! Heart
I got into Origami again :) I know how to fold a paper crane in my sleep, but now I'm into the Kawasaki rose, which took me about an hour each at first, and they tore a lot, but now I got quicker and better and they don't tear anymore. :) I'm trying different sizes now. My smallest paper crane I ever did was made from about 1,5 cm x 1,5 cm paper, I think.
My smallest rose was made from about 10cm x 10cm and it's in this picture.
I started making the roses for a stage play my friends are doing. If you are anywhere close Düsseldorf, Germany, check it out! It's based on the film noir genre and they will show it again in March. Looking forward to seeing it tonight!
Hi everyone,
I'm currently drawing a lot, but shhhh, I can't upload any of those drawings because they might end up under a Christmas tree... ;)
What are you preparing for the holidays art-wise? Santa Clause
Have a nice Sunday evening :)
Sillageuse

Update:
Meh, I didn't finish in time, because I got sick the week before Christmas ;_; This one is the only drawing I finished in time, and it was pretty small. :/
I did manage to make a lot of painted dishware though, I'll upload photos soon.
Happy New Year, everyone!
Well, I'm still not uploading much, but at least I'm back to drawing at an almost regular basis. I bought some decent drawing paper, because until now I only used sketchbooks in A5 or regular paper intended for copying...
I'm practicing drawing, but I don't finish much lately. I had two drawings that kind of blocked me because I made some mistakes that I felt I couldn't fix, but I lay those aside for the moment. At least now I have some ideas on how to fix those mistakes, I just need to get myself to actually try and do it.

I guess I should read doodlealley.com more often, those comics are really encouraging. :)
It's been about two months since I last drew something...
I feel that I'm already missing it, but I'm quite caught up in wedding preparations, video games and reading.
I'm still looking at a lot of awesome deviations that are truly inspiring, although I have to be careful not to let other artists' talent discourage me, like I experienced it before.
I missed out on a competition I wanted to participate in. ;_;
Isn't it hard to work on several dreams at the same time?
When I upload my drawings and deviantArt tells me they are large enough to sell them as prints, it makes me wonder whether you guys actually sell prints of your artwork via deviantArt. Does anybody ever push the button to buy a print?
My drawings are obviously not suited to be sold as prints because I didn't scan them in high resolution, but I'm wondering whether some day in the future I could actually sell drawings (originals or prints).
And I have no idea what it's for, although it's cute. Would someone kindly explain to me what Llama badges are for? Are there other badges? The FAQ sounds like there's only Llama badges. And like they are just there to spend points on, although I have no idea how to get points... XD

I know nothing, but my name is not Jon Snow.
I just uploaded my first deviation. It's an old drawing (from 2011) that I recently scanned. I don't really have any order in my art files, so the uploads won't follow a chronological order. I won't upload all my drawings at once but one by one until I'm kind of up to date. I'm sorry if some of the files have a bad quality; sometimes I gave the pictures away before being able to scan them, so I'll upload photographs of a lower quality.
I'm happy about critiques and comments, and I'll try to return the favor if you have deviations, too.
And if you have questions about the materials I use or something like that, I'll be happy to answer those, too. :)
I'm looking forward to hear from you! :)
